Value for money: Good, not cheap but worth the money
Service: Very goodDécor: Simple but pleasant
Taste: Very good, lovely welsh cheese
This week my boyfriend and I stuck to our tradition of going out for lunch on Wednesday afternoon.
We tried another of the cafes in one of the Arcades.
This week it was 'the plan', a little independent cafe in the Morgan arcade, with lots of veggie food on offer. It had been recommended to us and we couldn't wait to give it a try.
We entered and were quickly and politely told to take a seat and told that a waitress would be with us to take our order shortly. This kind of table service always makes going out for lunch feel like more of an occasion.
The waitress took our drinks order, a gunpowder green tea for my boyfriend and an elderflower presse for me. We then had more time to select our food.
My presse was delicious and a perfect accompaniment to the food. The tea was loose leaf tea, which is always a nice touch.

Although there were extensive veggie options we both ordered the same thing, a ploughman's lunch.
After a short wait a plate full of goodies arrived. Two cheeses- a cheddar and a brie, a chunky chutney, a salad (with cucumber, tomatoes, celery and a pickled onion) apple and most importantly, a warm white baguette.
Although I'm not a big fan of apple with savoury food the rest of it was delicious!
The baguette was warm, crusty on the outside and soft in the middle.
The cheddar was strong and the brie creamy. The chutney, although it contained a lot of raisins (which I am not a fan of) was tangy and complimented the cheeses perfectly.
Overall we would rate both the food and the service very highly.
We will definitely be visiting again, I have my eye on the veggie chilli jacket potato!
